“Ordered Chaos” is a formal exploration into how explosive and unrestrained brushwork can occupy the same space with meticulously placed rectangular geometries. This series is my first conscious investigation of how contrasting modes of working, thought and movement can occupy the same visual plane. As a precursor to “Control & Chaos” in these paintings I really became excited by the tension of these opposing forces existing together.
The series was presented as a solo exhibition by New Gallery at 127 Tompkins st. in Bedford–Stuyvesantt neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY for the month of March 2021.
